Michael Jackson’s Man in the Mirror, talks about that each one of us has the power to change the world. He shows in his video characters like Gandhi, Mother Theresa of Calcuta, Martin Luther King, President Reagan, and many others as references of people that changed the world. Jackson tries to make a point by saying that if you start with yourself and if you change your ways you can make the difference as those iconic characters that made the difference. You only have to "look at the man in the mirror” (Michael Jackson Vision DVD)which is a poetic way to say that you have to start convincing you.

Look into the Mirror

Michael Jackson’s “Man in the Mirror” is a speech about change. The kind of change suggested is that of your world, the community that you are in, the society that you belong to. It is about changing it for the better. Changing how people are living, how they are treated in a way that improves it. The biggest message in the song is that we first must look at ourselves. How can you change the world if you have not changed yourself first? By looking in the mirror, as Michael suggests, we will first see what it is about ourselves that we first need to change:

I’ve Been a Victim Of A
Selfish
Kind Of Love
It’s Time That I Realize
That There Are Some
With No Home

In the song “Man In The Mirror “by Michael Jackson he talks about how by starting with the person in the mirror the world could be a better place. That if everyone just did something to help those in need it would start to let others want to help the same cause, just like Martin Luther King Jr., Mother Theresa and President Regan. The people who started to step up and help the poverty and hunger in Africa were friends of Michael Jackson and they would come and sing at concerts with Michael and some or all of the proceeds would go to help there cause to stop hunger. Michael goes to Africa often to give concerts and visit the sick so that they know he cares and loves them. Michael helps food get flown over into Africa so that they do not starve. Michael brings people together to support a good cause and that’s to stop hunger. Michael always takes journal video and photography on every visit so that he has photos to show the world of the hunger people endure in Africa. "A summer's Disregard, A Broken Bottle Top, And A One Man's Soul They follow Each Other On." (Michael Jackson Vision DVD) We should all take a lesson from Michael and be better to others.

Man in the mirror in that film Michael Jackson was showing the ones, who needs help, shelter, guidance, support, love and also the people who made a big change in this world. Michael Jackson, he himself helped Africa from starvation and from sickness. He showed a lot of love to this world. He helped all over the world. He said in the song “I see the kids in the street, with not enough to eat, who am I, to be blind? Pretending not to see their needs “ that’s the way of him saying people need help and we have to do something starting with me.

Man in the Mirror

Man In The Mirror is a song wirtten by James Mazzarelli. This is a poem about poverty in the world. In this poem, James has tried to show how people have been discriminated by nature. He states that there are many poor and needy people all over the world who can't even feed their stomach. Their are many people who die everyday due to hunger.James states,
"I see The Kids In the street,
with not Enough to eat
who am i, to be blind?"

James has also encouraged every individual to be responsible and atleast give a small effort form their side to change the world. According to him until and unless each and every person in this world won't be responsible, the world is not going to change. The poverty remains the same and those innocent kids will remain dying.
Therefore, the main objective of this poem is to encourage people to support poor and needy people all over the world.

Man in the Mirror

Everybody has power in them to change this world. In Michael Jackson’s video “Man in the Mirror,” we have seen important people who changed this world for the better such as Martin Luther King, Mother Theresa. Michael Jackson brings inspiration and entertainment to people at the same time in this video. However it is challenging to take a long hard look at the world around us and face the brutal facts of the world and changing the world is not an easy mission, it is not impossible. Those examples of respected people in this video already prove that fact. One can make a difference, many can make a huge difference. In Michael Jackson’s video “Man in the Mirror,” he expresses the importance of helping people and inspires us to make a change in the world.

Man in the Mirror by Michael Jackson is a song that targets ourselves. It is such a powerful song that was meant to create change. How each one of us are able to change the world if we just stand up and try. The video included great leaders who stood for change like Ghandi, Reagan and many more. It is telling us to look into ourselves and be the difference we want to be and do what we believe in is right. A lyric he used "I've been a victim of, a selfish kind of love" shows how we can be selfish and should actually try and help the world by making a difference.
